Ameren Spokesperson Gaslights Customers While Promoting Data Center

Ameren Missouri’s Economic Development Manager, James O’Mara, did an hour long webinar on Tuesday, August 25, for the data center development company Clayco CRG. O’Mara talked about the utility company’s footprint and operations in Missouri, and he spoke about the laws and regulations regarding how Ameren deals with bringing online a large load customer such as a data center. O’Mara was introduced by CRG’s president, Chris McKee, and the entire webinar was geared towards promoting the data center that Clayco CRG has proposed to build in Festus, Missouri. Unfortunately, this webinar has not yet been published.

Twice in the webinar, James O’Mara addressed the issue of proximity in regards to the transmission of electrical energy, and TWICE! James O’Mara claimed that proximity is not a factor in the transmission of electrical energy. Ameren’s spokesperson told us all that what we know to be true, is actually false. Don’t believe the Google search. Don’t listen to your uncle who spent a lifetime climbing electrical poles. According to the Book of James, proximity is not a factor in the transmission of electrical energy. The truth is that proximity is very much a factor because energy is lost the further it is transmitted.

The reason this is important, folks, is that Ameren is spending close to a billion dollars rebuilding a power plant at its Big Hollow Energy Center and adding electrical storage in order to support a data center proposed for Festus, Missouri. This is why James addressed proximity twice in the webinar. This is why James gaslighted Ameren’s own customers over known facts.

They have not even broken ground on the data center proposed for Festus, Missouri. In fact, the data center project faces several existential threats. There is a citizen funded lawsuit alleging that Sunshine Laws were broken last fall when the data center was first being discussed between Clayco CRG and local officials (they have receipts). Recall petitions against three city council members and the mayor have been certified by the county clerk and are now before a judge. Festus is the city that voted out half of its city council (all incumbents) last fall after they approved a data center. You may have heard. The ultimate termination date for the proposed data center is April, 2027, where the mayor and remaining council members, if not recalled, will be voted out.

Ameren (AEE) is behaving like a venture capital firm, and now, thanks to the Missouri legislature, they can used CWIP funding (Custruction Work in Progress) to get their own customers to pay for their speculative schemes. This is why Ameren spokesperson, James O’Mara, tried, twice, to say that the Big Hollow Energy Center is not connected to the proposed Festus hyperscale data center. The risk runs even deeper for Ameren’s investors when you understand that the size of the proposed Festus data center has been cut in half, while maintaining the same price tag, due to sky-rocketing micro-chip costs.

Bob Clark Is A Tool of A Foreign Influence Campaign

On the surface, Bob Clark, CEO of Clayco CRG, may seem like your typical corporate goon, but when you dig into the details of his operation, some disturbing facts emerge. Bob Clark has, multiple times, signed a document containing this clause, the inclusion of which is required by Missouri law for many contracts.

Anti-Boycott. Pursuant to Section 34.600 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, Developer certifies it is not currently engaged in and will not, for the duration of this Agreement, engage in a boycott of goods or services from (a) the State of Israel, (b) companies doing business in or with the State of Israel or authorized by, licensed by, or organized under the laws of the State of Israel, or (c) persons or entities doing business in the State of Israel.

According to this clause, there is nothing that the State of Israel could do that would cause Bob Clark to boycott, divest from, or sanction that country. No amount of murder, ethnic cleansing or land stealing could cause Bob to open his mouth or do anything that could be construed as criticism of Israel. Imagine being worth 3.7 billion dollars and still being a slave to a foreign influence operation and having to bend your knee and sign a piece of paper showing your allegiance.

Bob Clark’s Israel-First credentials are no joke. He is a big Democrat supporter and a supporter of the Congressional campaign of Wesley Bell whose biggest campaign donor is AIPAC. Bell has received over $18 million dollars from that foreign influence campaign.

On many occasions Bob Clark has accused the anti-data center movement of being under foreign influence by countries such as China, but it is Bob himself who has been infected with the virus of foreign agency. Read more about Bob Clark’s legacy of corporate hooliganism here.

Clayco CRG’s BIG RED FLAG

The area where the proposed Festus data center is to be built and the surrounding subdivisions were originally part of unincorporated Jefferson County. So, why did Clayco CRG hire the Thurman Law Firm to facilitate the annexation of area in question and then have it rezoned from residential to industrial? This is the BIG RED FLAG that would raise suspicion for anyone taking a close look at this. Why didn’t the developer ask to place the data center in unincorporated Jefferson County? The reason is that the data center would have faced a much tougher legal battle with the county council, and the regulations governing data center development in unincorporated Jefferson County would have required much more accountability from the developer. Simply put, Clayco CRG found a willing and corruptible city council that they could easily win over with the promise of doubling the tax revenue. They annexed the piece of land into Festus because they knew that they could count on the city to neglect all due diligence regarding such an immense project, and, as expected, the city didn’t even order something as rudimentary as an environmental study before approving the data center.

Ameren Helps Developers Target Communities For Data Center Nightmare

Bob Clark claims in his video that folks from Ameren would regularly meet with people from Clayco CRG to help target communities for Clayco CRG’s lawyers and consultants. It seems that the citizens of Festus have had their own utility company working against them. Ameren is building the Big Hollow Energy Center to power the Festus data center, and a new Missouri Construction Work in Progress (CWIP) law will allow Ameren to force its customers to fund the construction of the power plant before it ever goes online. The Festus data center will more than double the load needed in the area, and it is Ameren’s customers who are going to pay for the buildout of energy generation while Ameren’s (NYSE:AEE) stock price goes up and up.

Pentagon Reports More Than 600 Iran War Casualties

The Pentagon updated its official war casualty database over the weekend, adding more than 140 wounded service members. The Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS) also introduced a new casualty category labeled “Overseas Operations” for personnel killed and wounded “starting July 7”.

According to the updated database, the official toll for the earlier phase of the US-Iran war, known as Operation Epic Fury, now stands at 14 service members killed and more than 400 wounded in action.
